Why Should I Choose the North Hills Athletic Association?

With many great neighboring associations, we understand how difficult and confusing the decision of where to sign up is to make. We encourage everybody to look into each and every one to find out what they have to offer and how that will suit both you and your child's needs. Maybe we're right for you, maybe we're not, but we hope you give us a shot. Here are several reason why:

Parent Friendly Services:

  • Online Registration - register from home and pay with credit card
  • NO MANDATORY FUNDRAISERS - yes, you read that correctly
  • NO MANDATORY CONCESSION STAND OBLIGATIONS - nope, your eyes aren't fooling you
  • Many options for feedback ... WE LISTEN!:
    • League Orientations
    • Parent/Player Town Halls
    • Feedback Page on website
    • Email
    • Annual Manager Surveys
  • Social Media:
    • Facebook
    • Twitter  (@nhaasports)

In addition to the reasons above, we offer baseball and softball to the North Hills area player from age 5 and up. Our focus is on player development, the promotion of good sportsmanship, and solidifying the NHAA brand as one who supports every youth sports organization and foundation in the North Hills.  To accomplish these objectives, we provide numerous opportunities for the players:

Constant Focus on Player Development:

  • Pre-season Conditioning
  • Off-season Conditioning
  • NHxtended Season (Fall Ball)
  • NH365 Winter Season Player Development and Conditioning
  • Baseball Clinics
  • Softball Clinics
  • Coaches Clinics
  • Identified/measurable goals/expectations of both Coach/Player at each age level
  • Inter-league Play with other neighboring associations promote good sportsmanship and give our players a chance to play teams outside of North Hills.
  • Sunday Travel Baseball - an excellent opportunity for North Hills players to raise their level of play while challenging themselves personally and sharpening team skills
  • Travel Baseball and Softball for players Ages 7 to 18 allow the boys and girls to travel the area to participate in more competitive tournaments where play requires a greater level of skill on the part of the player and a modest time commitment from the player's family. Find out more about the North Hills Warpath here.

Signature Events:

  • Wooden Bat Classic Baseball Tournament
NHAA hosts the region's first Wooden Bat Tournament.  This event attracts teams from all over the county and gives twelve year old players a chance to feel the difference in play between the familiar metal bat and a wooden one.  Very little compares to the CRACK! of a baseball hit perfectly off the sweet spot of a wooden bat.
  • Attack At The Mac - 12 y.o. Fast-pitch and Slow-pitch Softball Tournaments
The girls take to McIntyre Field to compete against the area's best softball teams. Stop by "The Mac" and see why everybody is calling both of these tournaments "The Greatest Show on Turf!"
  • Knights of Columbus T.R.Y. Little League Tournament:
For the past 40+ years, North Hills is one of only four associations invited to participate in this worthwhile tournament.  Other invited associations include Brad-Mar-Pine, Ingomar/Franklin Park and McCandless.
  • Recognition of - 12-year olds:
As a show of our appreciation, players who have been involved with NHAA's Regular Season and who are registered to play as a 12-year old are recognized by the Association and presented with a special gift, compliments of the NHAA.
  • NH Palomino Showcase:
Each year the North Hills Palomino team travels to an out-of-state baseball showcase, giving our Varsity and Junior Varsity level players an opportunity to play in front of college scouts.
  • NH Palomino Memorial Weekend Wooden Bat Bash
2013 was the first year NHAA sponsored this 17-18 year old baseball tournament. Many college scouts were in attendance to evaluate our players, and we are committed to carrying on this tradition for years to come.
